Focus canvas is made of raw, unbleached cotton because we believe that canvas, especially painted masterpieces, should stay intact over time.
Unbleached canvas is in its natural state; it is slightly off-white and may contain visible specks of debris. On the other hand, bleached cotton fabric has undergone chemical treatment to attain its white hue, potentially compromising the strength of the fibers in the long run.
Focus canvas is triple primed (coated three times) with professional-quality acrylic Gesso. Triple-primed with Gesso makes the surface more toothy and receptive to acrylic and oil paints. On the other hand, PVA (Polyvinyl acetate) is an everyday school glue. These PVA gessos are inexpensive. The PVA Gesso primed surface looks decent. Despite being limited to accepting acrylic paints, it is not responsive to every brush stroke, and oil paints may bleed on it.
Many artists choose stretched canvas as their top choice. It is sturdy and can accept countless layers of paint without warping, but it is bulky for handling and storage.
Small wood pieces are also included in the package.
Manufactured with stringent quality control.
The wood stretcher bars are kiln-dried and rigorously tested for warp resistance.

Too much paint on a canvas panel may cause it to warp. Focus Canvas Panel uses MDF wood panels to prevent this. Because they are thin, canvas panels are easy to carry. They're perfect for artists who travel a lot or have small studios.

Canvas sheets offer the advantage of being compact. Canvas pads are convenient to store, transport, and ship, making them a practical choice for artists. Additionally, disposing of or storing unwanted paintings is much easier when using canvas sheets, as they require less space than stretched canvases.
You can also roll them without damaging the surface, unlike paper, which tends to crease easily and takes forever to flatten.
Another advantage of using canvas sheets is the flexibility they offer regarding framing. You can frame them in a regular picture frame.

Focus Aqua Stretched Canvas is made from 100% finely woven unbleached cotton. It's primed with specially formulated gesso for watercolor, featuring a slightly toothy surface texture. Unlike paper, the canvas doesn't feather, and you can lift out pigment or wash out the painting surface without damaging the canvas.
The surface is absorbent to watercolors, as well as acrylic paints and other water-based inks.
Ten minutes before painting, firmly wipe down the entire canvas surface with a wet cloth. This will facilitate a more spontaneous paint transfer to the canvas.
